On November 7-8, 1987, Uncle takes the viewer on a tour of the Hakioawa area on Kahoʻolawe, sharing his knowledge of the healing arts, archaeology, shrines, geography, fishing techniques, weather and planting.

The interview is conducted partially in ʻŌlelo Hawaiʻi. Includes scenes of an imu preparation at Hakioawa and the departure of paddlers from the island.
