Puhipau – A “Living” Treasure

The late Abraham Puhipau Ahmad was recently named as one of “Na Mamo o Ka Po’e Hawai’i – Living Treasures of the Hawaiian People”. The recognition for his documentary work was given posthumously by the Office of Hawaiian Affairs and the Pa’i Foundation in June. He was honored along with Patience Namaka Bacon, Sam Ka’ai, Marie McDonald, Josephine Fergerstrom, Nainoa Thompson, and Elizabeth Lee (posthumously).
